Movement Together-Because Mobility Ensures Health

Movement Together is a joint venture of Student Focus Team and Students of F.M.C. Fatima Memorial Hospital Lahore.​ ​

Whole of the event has been based on the theme of promoting Awareness about Physical Therapy among masses and acknowledge the importance of Physical Therapy treatment methods ensuring health.

Program has been designed as to allow maximum participation of students and professionals of not only related to Physical Therapy but other medical disciplines as well and provides an opportunity to open the doors to the general public as a service to humanity guiding them about their health issues relevant to mobility. Furthermore the proceedings have an incorporated part of career counseling for the students of Intermediate especially those seeking admissions in medical colleges.

 The various segments have been put together in a way as to keep the interests of all the participants irrespective of their designation of student, professional or public. Student Focus team is very optimistic of the event and plans to provide the best they can and console the missing of the last event positively. 

 SCHEDULE:

a. PATIENT STUDENT CARE CAMPING | 28th and 29th September  |  Morning-Afternoon Shift  |  9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

​​The Patient-Student Care Camping will be set mainly in Fatima Memorial Hospital Lahore. Secondary camps will be set up in all Physiotherapy institutes of Pakistan. The main camp will have three parts namely Information Desk, Patient Desk and Student Desk. Where main camp will provide the awareness material, treatment services and career counseling. The secondary camps will provide the information and treatment services only.

b. POSTER COMPETITION | 29th September | Afternoon Shift | 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

​The Poster Competition will be held on the first day of Camping at Mayo Hospital and Fatima Memorial Hospital Lahore. The participants will be provided with charts, space for settlement and time of completing their posters. Participant must register in order to participate. Participants are not allowed to bring any helper of material to take assistance. Participants must bring along their registration slips, Colors (any palate they like), pencil box and all required things for their poster making. Borrowing anything will not be allowed.

 TOPIC of Poster Competition: "MOBILITY ENSURES HEALTH"

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN POSTER COMPETITION
1. The participants of Competition must Register themselves prior to competition.
2. There is no separate registration for Poster Competition.
3. The Competition will be held on the spot.
4. Only 2 hrs will be allotted to the participants to make posters.
5. The participants will be provided with charts only and they must bring their colors of choice and any other requisite material (like board, pencil, marker, pins, tape, ribbons, glace sheets, etc anything they need)
6. The participant must prepare well for what he/she wants to make , any help material/drawing may lead to disqualification of the participant.
7. No extra time will be allotted in case of being late to start in any case.
8. The participants must reach the venue mentioned above at least 25-30 minutes before the start of competition.
9. Points will be awarded for concept, neatness, color/material used, impressive slogan and creativity.
10. The result will be announced on the same day but awards will be given on 30th September 2012 in the seminar.
11. In case of emergency while approaching the venue or any other problem accounting for late or no participation, a formal call to the relevant coordinator must be made and a written excuse must be submitted to Student Focus Team.
12. For those Participants who live in cities other than Lahore, if it is feasible for them to come to Lahore it is appreciating otherwise they may send their Posters by Mail at the following address: To Student Focus, School of Physiotherapy, Mayo Hospital Lahore also write the cell.no 0345-4333323 on your mail. Participant must enclose the copy of Registration Slip and N.I.C. in their mail along with the poster.
13. LAST DATE of SUBMISSION : 25th September 2012

c. SHORT VIDEO COMPETITION | 30th September | Afternoon Shift | 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

The Short Video Competition will be held on the day of Seminar in the Auditorium, Ali Institute of Education, Near Gulaab Devi Hospital, Ferozpur Road, Lahore. All the videos will be submitted prior to the event till the due date i.e. 25th September 2012. The Short videos must fall in either of four categories announced in order to become a part of the competition. All these videos will be subjected to selection by Student Focus Team in order to be approved for display on the event. Registration will be compulsory to submit the videos as per rules and policy.

TOPICS/Categories of Short Video Competition:
Choose any "ONE" category among the following you want to work on 
1. A true Patriot
2. Culture an Identity
3. Charity Begins at Home
4. Student Life

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SUBMITTING VIDEOS FOR COMPETITION:
1. The participants of Competition must Register themselves prior to submissions.
2. Both individual Registration of Participant and Video separately must be done.
3. The Video must be relevant to either of the topics with the broader sense of creativity by the participants.
4. The Video should not be shorter or longer than the given time limit i-e, 4-7 minutes maximum.
5. A separate short synopsis describing the plot, cast, name and number of characters, props used, place of shoot and requisite credits (direction, production etc)should also be submitted in written (1-2 pages maximum) along with each video.
6. The Video must show "Title screen with the Category you selected and Event name: Movement Together by Student Focus"
7. The Videos will be subjected to review for selection after submission by the Student Focus Team prior to competition.
8. Negative Marking will be done if the duration of Video lags or exceeds the stipulated time on per 30 seconds exceeds.
9. The videos must comply with the basic code of Ethics and Morals both verbally and practically otherwise the video shall stand disqualified automatically.
10. Student Focus shall have all rights reserved for independent decisions in selection of videos for competition.
11. The videos will be displayed on big screen during seminar followed by the result announcement and awarding on the same day by our panel of judges.

d. INTERACTIVE SEMINAR | 30th September | Afternoon Shift | 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

State of the art Interactive Seminar will be held in reference to World Physical Therapy day. The seminar will have different segments and Special Quiz to allow the maximum participation of the audience. The Main Theme of the whole proceeding will be to discuss the prospects of Physical Therapy in different areas of practice and the scope of the field in Pakistan and around the world.
