This year, Theatre Hub brings Nizma Sakka, directed by Talal Ali Jan, which will be performed at Alhamra Hall 2, between 28th to 30th July. The play goes back to Mughal era and is about an ordinary man who saves Mughal emperor Humayun from drowning and is given kingship for a day as a reward.
Muhammad Ali, playing the role of Qazi in the play, said, ‘This is my second year working with Theatre Hub, and it is a pleasure working with such wonderful people. I have been waiting anxiously for the past year to begin working with Theatre Hub once again; it has been yet another joyous period but at the same time I am gutted that this adventure is drawing to a close very soon. However, next year I will be even more motivated to give my best to this team.’
At Theatre Hub, everyone learns to work as a team and strives to improve the quality . Expectations are high this year Thanks to the wonderful cast and production team that is working day and night to provide the theatre lovers with a period play acted out with full perfection.
Rabeea Rathore, playing the role of Aurat said, ‘Even though my role is a brief one, there are so many technicalities that I need to take care of. Indeed, the audience has no clue about the kind of hard work that goes on behind these theatrical plays. But I am thankful to Theatre Hub for guiding me in the best possible way and making this experience one that I will never forget. The excitement for the performance is increasing day by day and I have really high hopes for Nizam Sakka.’
Theatre Hub’s plays have always brought something different to the table, and this play is no different. Hopes are very high from this young group of students and the public is waiting anxiously to witness what will be in store this year.
