Pakistan Resolution Day , is an important occasion in the history of Pakistan. Its celebration is not only a ritual but also an obligation at School Of Physiotherapy, King Edward Medical University. This year the ritual was enthusiastically performed by the new team of student focus and the goal was successfully achieved.
The motto was to gather as many students as possible and to provoke a sense of zest among them. The school was splendidly decorated in green and white . A creative corridor activity was arranged in which there was free face panting for all . Small prizes were distributed among the eager participants .The event properly started at 10.30 in the presence of Dr. Irfan Dar (Incharge Male Physiotherapy Department), Dr. Rizwan Haider, Dr. Tanveer, Dr. Saeed, Dr.Rehan and other faculty members. After recitation and naat by Muhammad Sheraz and Mr Hamayun a beautiful medley of national anthem was sung by new first year girls, which was followed by a heart rendering documentary made by Muhammad Muneeb Shafique.
A chart making competition was also conducted in the honour of the day. All the department eagerly participated and submitted their artwork one day prior to the event. The colourful charts were displayed in a separate room and results were announced by Dr. Irfan Mehmood Dar at the end of the event after cake cutting ceremonyWinners were awarded certificates. First position went to Muhammad Asad, second poition went to Maryam Zakriya , third position went to Muhammad Hashim, fourth position went to Jawad Ahmed and fifth position was awarded to Miss Humaira .
Certainly the event was immense fun. Every soul that attended this event left with a special sense of love for their country , their pride was something to see. Efforts of new student focus team are highly appreciated and the students of SPT, KEMU are looking forward to more such events.
