Impact of Cellphones on Youngsters

Written By Student Focus on Monday | 20:03

A few days ago I was awoken from a blissful sleep by the sound of my cell phone ringing. The fact that it was 2 in the morning and that I do not have many admirers, let me to deduce the obvious reason of the intrusion ….. my friend was in dire need of balance, which apparently was a matter of life and death. In concern for my friends wellbeing I sent him the balance with the promise having it returned A.S.A.P.
The point of this interesting yet gut wrenching story was to illustrate the impact of cell phone on a teenagers life. It cannot be denied that the advent of cell phones has drastically changed a teenagers life. Lowered SMS prices, late night and favorite number call rates have certainly taken the teenage freedom to a whole new level. Furthermore, these trivial call rates have removed the only obstacles in the teenage way that’s right “MONEY”. Easy load and balance sharing services have also played a vital role in this aspect.
The impact of cell phones on teenage life is so gigantic that it cannot be denied even by the most ignorant of people. Cell phone usage has crossed the barrier restricting it to calls and SMS with the innovations of multimedia applications and high speed internet. The different cyber shots and music editions have provided a cutting edge to the cell phone fanaticism. Internet services, WAP and 3G technology have helped the cell phone on its way.
It has been predicted that in the next few decades mobile technology will surpass landline and PTCL services and render them obsolete. According to our beloved parents, teachers and ,many other well wishers cell phones have caused the so called teenage destruction.
Whether their vies are correct or is it just their parental love taking over, only time will tell. But the teenagers of this generation and many more to come shall continue to abide by their sacred saying
Thou shall accept thy cell phones for good or bad for better or for worse.
